Kafkaistan is an autocracy, a totalitarian state. Citizens have no privacy. Criticism is mercilessly punished. People disappear without a trace. Autocracy, as a form of state, gives the government control over all levels of society, such as media, science, politics, culture and finance. A state ideology prevails. The secret police have far-reaching powers. Czech-German author Franz Kafka (1883-1924) lived in such a fascist country. "Don't go there. It's a miserable country!" he tells us. We are very concerned about our toxic polarization. What is causing it? But above all, how do we get rid of it? What is a way out? What are the symptoms? Whereto does it lead?
