Good book for a few hours of reading pleasure
Lily and David Parker are moving to a secluded island, where David will become the new plastic surgeon at Northwind Clinic. But just the night they arrive at the island, a woman who works at the clinic kills herself, whispering her last words to lily; 'You shouldn't have come here'.
With tall walls all around the compound, fulltime security guards, cameras watching every move you make and the unwelcoming wife of Dr. Keenan, head of the clinic, Lily is questioning why she did come to the island. She senses something isn't right, or is is just her imagination?
The plot is well built with some twist to keep you guessing what is going on. The characters, except for Lily, are lightly developed, you don't really learn much about their past, their motivations and their reason for being the way they are.
From the beginning there is some tension but it is really slowly built up until the last few chapters where it's an uncontrollable rollercoaster of tension and actions.
The storyline is well thought out, at times a bit unrealistic but that is not disturbing. The ending seems a bit rushed, a lot is written but little is really explained.
Keep the doctor away is a good book for a few hours of reading pleasure.
