Lezersrecensie
Heerlijk zomerboek
I finally picked up my second EmHen book! I've read Beach Read so far, and now it was time to read Funny Story!
Read if you love:
- forced proximity
- roommate romance
- fake dating
- opposites attract
- friends to lovers
- small town romance
Daphne is just an adorable girl and I instantly fell in love with her vibes. She works in the library (goals) and just has the best job reading to children and organising a big read-a-thon (double goals). And she got dumped just before her wedding and now lives with her ex-boyfriend's new fiancé's ex-boyfriend: Miles. Get it? All with all, after a few months of barely talking, they finally start to hang out and it turns out that Miles is ADORABLE too!
Their love story is so cute and heartwarming. Miles shows her around the entire town, because Daphne figures out that nothing in her previous relationship was actually hers. Not the house, the friends, the family.. nothing. So this story really is about Daphne re-finding her true self, getting to know herself. And Miles has such a precious heart and you just can't not love him instantly.
Emily wrote an adorable story about true friendship, small gestures, finding what you really love and opening up to new people. I only found the ending to be a bit rushed or quick, but overal this story will be one of my new favs!
Which EmHen book should I definitely read next?
