Funky Food Truck

In the first book we were already introduced to Ramona and her brother Sam and their food truck: Satay Sam. I liked them from the start, so I was curious to read about their story. While reading this book I was craving satay the entire time.
In this book we follow Ramona, a university student who has an immense crush on Timo, her fellow student. We also follow Justus, the rockstar lead singer of the hit band Just Did It! Ramona and Justus both have their secrets. Is there a way they can help each other to fulfill their hidden desires?
This book starts strong with a loving reminder: "you are good enough just the way you are." I felt this throughout the whole story and therefore this book became my new favorite in this series. The author succeeded again in creating an in-depth story with complex characters and an immersive writing style. It was so much fun to read the story from multiple perspectives, as this added a lot of depth to the story. While Ramona and Justus are very different characters, they also have a lot of things in common. They are both good people who sometimes think they are not good enough the way they are. It was so wholesome to follow how Ramona slowly started to believe in her own worth and Justus became more confident. The story not only focusus on them, but also introduces a couple of new side characters. I loved Sanne, Ramona's best friend, who always had a way to cheer her up (everyone needs a friend like her) and Justus' grandfather, who was so sweet and supportive. It almost made me tear up a couple of times. And if that's not enough, the story also contains two super cute animals (Max the dog and Gus the goat). I want to say so much more about this book, but I don't want to spoil too much, so be sure to check it out!
Overall the story was as delicious as the delicacies from Satay Sam and I had such a fun time reading it. Therefore I can't wait to read more of Sanne and her story in the next book. A love triangle and a fries food truck, sign me up!
