Modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet

I loved reading this book. Julia has a bright personality, which makes it fun to read. The things Julia deals with are mostly typical for a teenager and her thoughts are how a teenage girl thinks about them. They’re all big feelings. Which you have as a teenage girl. The feelings are recognizable, such as a first crush and not wanting to hurt others (boyfriend, friends, parents). You’re rooting for Julia to figure it all out and that everything will be alright. The book is well written, a short read and gripping from the start. I loved that Julia thinks in songs and movies from the 80s (and some early 90s).
