Even though there's already been so much written about this book, i can't help but choose this book for my very first bookstagram review. It reignited my passion for reading back in nov '23. Yes, i might be a late bloomer, but i'm beyond thrilled that i decided to pick up this book. Just look at where it has taken me! Thank you Bookstagram!

In short

The book follows the adventures of Feyre, who is trying to survive with her family. One day, she goes hunting and shoots a large wolf, which turns out to be a Fae. In revenge for her act, she is taken by Tamlin, a Fae lord. She must live in his house and on his land, and can never return to her father and sisters.

Feyre adapts to her new life, and a deeper emotional bond develops between her and Tamlin. But time is running out, as an old enemy emerges from the shadows, and Feyre must find a way to save Tamlin and his court.

My opinion

"I was pleasantly surprised by how easily I understood the world around me. The love story was captivating, and this was the first book since 'Fifty Shades of Grey' that had so much spice! That was truly a delightful surprise.

"Is it high literature? No. Did it captivate me? Absolutely! And did I sometimes find the plot a bit cliché? Yes! Still, the story managed to grab me. A delightful introduction to an enchanting world!"
