Kerstromance
Since I have read the Love on Thin Ice series, in which hockey romance series Melissa Baldwin also wrote a novel (with the title: Love in Overtime) I have become a fan of her writing style. So naturally I wanted to read her new novel: All the Christmas Vibes.
In this book Sophie, a great lover of Hallmark movies, travels with her friend Blair to Tennessee, not knowing she will star in her own Hallmark movie.
From the very first I loved this story. Sophie is a great and very likable character. You can feel her enthusiasm for Christmas and all things Hallmark. When she meets Jake, the coach of the hockey team, of which team her friend’s boyfriend is a member, there is an immediate attraction. Jake is a wonderful character as well. Both are a bit hesitant, because Sophie is only there for a short stay. Not to mention there is also the somewhat jealous ex-girlfriend.
I loved how Blair and her boyfriend Cooper star in this book as well. We got to know them from Love in Overtime and when reading All the Christmas Vibes it seemed like this book was a follow up in that, only with a different main character.
The writing style is flowing and the book is so nice and easy to read. I loved the dual POV, this is one of my favourite writing styles. The setting, a small town, is great and you can see it all in your mind.
If you want to read a cute, sweet holiday hockey romance, with two main characters you’ll root for, with a flowing writing style, a good plot, this is the book you want to read. And it would be a perfect movie!
