Fate and Fury by Emily Colin is the story of a Witch and her Shadow, defending their town. But when the King learns about her power, they have no choice to compete in a trial, while at the same time they have to keep their growing and forbidden attraction a secret.

This book was just so good! From the very first I loved reading this story, thanks to the flowing and fast paced writing style and all the things that happened. I had a really hard time putting the book down. There is so much tension between Katerina and Niko and I hoped it all would work out for them. Both are wonderful characters and they have a great chemistry.

The world-building is fantastic and I just loved the magic system. While reading this beautiful crafted story you can almost see everything in your mind, it is so vivid.

Fate and Fury is a great fantasy novel, with great characters who belong together, mystery and magic, a flowing writing style, a great plot and story-line, with twist and turns, and with great world-building, it is a book I can highly recommend. I can’t wait for the sequel!
