Friends to lovers
#Will we find someone like Gabriel
#Believe in yourself the way I believe in you
#Do you know of any person who really makes you feel like a book boyfriend does
Reeling in Love by Elena Laurent is the third book that I have read and I must say, this one is my favourite. The story of childhood friends Nora and Gabriel is a lovely one. They support each other with everything, even going so far as fake dating to get Gabriel’s mother off his back.
From the very first I loved this story. Nora and Gabriel are great characters, very likable and they could be your friends. I loved their chemistry. The dual POV is great, because this way we could read how they felt about each other and how they tried to deny their growing attraction. This made for reading on and on, because I was very curious to see if it all would work out. I also loved how there was also this mystery, because some leaked the fake dating (even if it was no more fake dating, or was it?) and I could not believe my eyes when this was revealed!
The writing style in Reeling in Love is flowing and the book is so easy to read. For each chapter in this book there was this hashtag, which made this book very “modern”, because who does not use hashtags? Nora is a great person who post on socials media and this I liked, because that made her more real. I could really understand what she was doing.
There are also characters from the first two book who make an appearance and that was nice to read. But you do not have to read these books to read Reeling in Love, because it is a standalone book (as are the other two books).
I loved reading Reeling in Love and I loved Nora and Gabriel. So, if you want to read a romantic fake dating romance story, with a flowing writing style, some mystery, try this one.
