Interesting but a bit slow
Natalka, Edwin and Benedict are friends, Natalka and Edwin run a detective agency and have been asked to investigate the death of a local writer. A natural death but not according to her daughters. The more they investigate, the more other writers (some dead too) seem to be linked to this death and some also have been on a writers retreat, which Edwin and Benedict decide to join undercover. Another writer dies and Edwin thinks the clue is in the words. They ask for help to another friend, detective Harbinder, together realizing that the plot is even less believable than a fictional story.
Personal life also comes in between and unfortunately they do not know yet that many people are just not to be trusted.
The story is mainly set in the area around Brighton and Rottingdean, which I found a nice touch for the story as it made it more lively for me.
While the characters are interesting and so is the story, I did feel it was having a bit of a slow pace and not always easy to keep concentrated on the story.
