Lezersrecensie
The perfect easy to read and yet engaging romance book.
In my experience, true love is usually the most inconvenient kind.
The perfect easy to read and yet engaging romance book. It flows easily and often brings a smile to your face.
After an epic fantasy, I needed something light and airy and this book delivered exactly that.
I loved America’s feisty personality and how she and Maxon get to know each other during The Selection. I also liked the references to the past, which is our current situation. I didn’t know it would be a bit of a dystopian story, but I liked that touch to it!
The story has the perfect pace, amount of tension, fun and sometimes hardship. I really enjoyed reading it and will start the second book in this series right away.
Some of my favorite quotes:
“Love can wear away under the stress of being married”.
“Did you call all of them that?” “Yes, and they all seemed to like it.” “That is the exact reason why I don’t.”
“No, I don’t know them. I know the public image of them. What are they really like?”
“If your life is as upside down as you say it, then she had to be here somewhere. In my experience, true love is usually the most inconvenient kind.”
“It’s so frustrating when we could change things now if they’d only listen.”
“I’m not choosing him or you. I’m choosing me.”
