Lezersrecensie
Interesting view with way too much details
I read it in Dutch.
On the covers it says:
"They illuminate the concrete ways that this phantasm displaces anxieties and fears of destruction."
I don't doubt for a second that their point is totally valid, but... general directions would have been enough,
I don't have to know every step and on how this is done because the thigh bone is connected to the hip bone. Reading it is exhausting, because of all the tiny details. When you skip a hundred pages you'll find out the foot bone is connected to the ankle bone. Even reading the last chapter, the conclusion feels like drowning in a endless flood of details.
The point she makes is valid though, so still two stars.
If they was able to reduce this book to 20 pages it could have been four or five stars.
