Lezersrecensie
Had complexer gekund
The first half of ‘The Courting of Bristol Keats’ felt quite slow. However, it provided an opportunity to get to know the characters and understand the story’s background.
The second half picked up the pace, with more events and excitement unfolding.
I enjoyed that, but some parts felt a bit too convenient for my taste, as if certain developments lacked depth or sufficient explanation.
Bristol’s character development was intriguing, though I expected more complexity for an adult fantasy novel.
In my opinion, the potential for a richer, more layered narrative was there but remained underexplored.
The ending felt abrupt.
Overall, I found the book moderately enjoyable.
In my opinion, the timeline could have been clearer as well.
Despite its flaws, it held enough promise to make me curious about the sequel.
