Nisha did it again

SaliReads 10 september 2024
I loved the first book and i loved this one too but for different reasons. Where there wasn't enough backstory in the first book there is more then enough in this one. We get a better idea of the history of Ouranous and why Lor was captured in the first place.
Lor and Nadir forge an alliance to bring down the Aurora King and to get Lor on her rightfull place as the Heart Queen. But to do that they have to find the Heart Crown first. During their search the pull between them gets stronger but Lor doesn't want to belong to annyone anymore.
The story is a little less fast pace and we get a better understanding about the history of Ouranous and Lor's family. Lor has to face her trauma's from the past while maintaining the façade she and Nadir have to uphold.

This is a true enemies to lovers story with a bit of found family. Nadir gets a lot of credit from me for his patience, Lor keeps going back and forth with her feelings for him but he keeps being there for her and supporting her. I got a little Rhysand vibes with Nadir, the dark broody bad guy that nobody really understands but actually has a good heart.
I would definitely recommend this book and can't wait for the third book in this series.
