This quote describes exactly the whole story. Jessa is a high school student and strange things happen from the start of this book. She finds her self in the middle demon attacks and doesn't know what's going on. Until Paul, also known as the Greek god Apollo and his friends save her. They tell her little bit by little bit, but Jessa keeps being attacked. Eventually she learns a bit of her past and that she is a demi god with powers like Hercules. Oh and another fun fact Hades wants her dead.
The whole book feels like a rollercoaster, attack after attack, and it results into an epic final battle in literal Hell.
