Sci-fi with a dragon

I haven’t read a sci-fi in a looong while so it was fun to switch genres again. The book also has some fantasy elements like magic and dragons which made it a cool combination.

The story is set 3 million years in the future. The human race had to leave earth and found another planet to live on. Of course they found other life on other planets and have been fighting with them ever since.

In the book we follow Lux who has been raised and trained since he was a kid to become a Master one day. As an apprentice he was taught to hate the human race and become an emotionless fighter. He goes through his trials to become a master and is send on his first mission. He meets a human girl and his world is flipped upside down. Of course he discovers that the world isn’t as black and white as he was taught and that his teacher and grandmaster have been keeping very important details about his life from him.

Can he figure out his role in the prophecy? While navigating new feelings he was taught to ignore? Read it now in the fast-paced trilling, magical, sci-fi book! Oh and did I mention a dragon yet
