Legion – Secrets, Schemes, and a Whole Lot of Alpharius
After the full-on betrayal and chaos in Galaxy in Flames, Legion goes in a completely different direction. It dives into the mysterious Alpha Legion and leans more into secret missions and shady dealings than big battles. At first that threw me off, but I ended up getting pulled in. Especially with the twist at the end. That was wild.
Instead of front-line warfare, this story feels like a spy thriller. There's still action, but the real tension is in figuring out who's actually telling the truth and what the bigger plan is. The whole introduction of the Cabal was a huge moment. Their idea of saving the galaxy by letting humanity fall? That really messes with your head and made me question everything I thought I knew about the Heresy.
The Alpha Legion itself is just cool. Alpharius (or maybe Omegon?) is a mystery the whole way through, and the "we are all Alpharius" thing adds this weird, fascinating layer. Even though I found it interesting, I have to say I liked Galaxy in Flames more. That one hit harder emotionally, while Legion is more of a slow burn.
Still, Legion is a solid entry in the series. It changed the pace, added new layers, and opened up some huge questions about loyalty, fate, and what side anyone is really on. Definitely left me curious about where the Alpha Legion will pop up next.
