A perfect Romantasy!
The Painter’s Muse is a romantasy filled with forbidden love, mystery and artistry. A young painter must confront the shadows of the past and control the power of the da Vinci masks to forge his destiny. But at what price?
In The Painter’s Muse we follow the lives of Lorenzo and Artemisia (stunning name). Their characters are beautifully written and allows you to fully immerse yourself in their lives. Arents writing is beautifully, and makes you feel like you are really there with the characters. Her writing style meets the theme and the historic period perfectly! In the beginning the book starts off a little slow, but it turns quickly into a rollercoaster of mystery, emotions and plays. It’s also very easy to read, which makes it a quick book to read. But don’t read it too quickly, or you will miss all the beautiful details of the story! And we can’t forget about the beautiful worldbuilding Arents has written about – one I will think about for a long time!
As a huge History lover, I love the way Arents has used the historical elements for just that bit extra for the book. It made the story feel complete! Shakespeare story and plays aren’t always that beautiful, but also tragic, and Arents managed to capture these moments beautifully.
You will absolutely love The Painter’s Muse if you love a beautiful historic romantasy, filled with magic and mystery!
