In heel veel landen over de wereld is juni Pride Maand. En hoewel we in Nederland vooral in juli de bekende Amsterdam Pride tocht hebben is ook hier juni een belangrijke maand. Een maand waarbij we stil staan over de ongelijkheden die er nog steeds zijn in de wereld. En vooral om gewoon iedereen te vieren. Want hoe jij je ook identificeert, iedereen is belangrijk. Iedereen telt mee!

Ikzelf ben een echte stemmingslezer. Ik hou er niet van om van te voren alle boeken voor de maand uit te plannen. Ik lees gewoon waar ik zin in heb. Maar deze maand doe ik het een keer anders. En ga ik proberen zoveel mogelijk LGBTQIA+ boeken te lezen. Hieronder volgen de boeken die ik hoop te lezen in juni.

Dit is een tweede deel in een weerwolven serie. Boek 1 heb ik vorig jaar gelezen en alle delen in de serie hebben een M/M relatie in de hoofdrol. Let wel op, deze boeken zijn spicy! En mocht ik nog genoeg tijd over hebben deze maand ga ik denk ik ook verder met de serie.

Ik ben dit boek nu aan het lezen en hij is al bijna uit na 1 dag. Wat een heerlijke prequel van Legends & Lattes. Ik weet niet wat deze schrijver in de boeken stopt, maar het voelt gewoon als een warme deken die over je heen gaat. Absoluut een aanrader!

Ik heb dit boek echt al jaren op mijn TBR staan. En daarom wordt het nu toch wel tijd om het op te pakken. Hopelijk is het geen tegenvaller.

Van boek 1 heb ik absoluut genoten. Wat een heerlijke schrijfstijl en de tijd waarin de boeken afspelen wordt zo goed beschreven. Wel vond ik het wat lastig om te achterhalen of dit boek nu echt binnen het LGBTQIA+ thema zou vallen. Dus ik hoop dat het past.

Henry's zus Felicity Montague moet al haar vrouwelijke charmes, gezond verstand en listigheid inzetten om haar grootste droom na te jagen: dokter worden. Iets wat nooit makkelijk is, maar zeker niet in de bekrompen achttiende eeuw waarin mannen werden gezien als de beschermers van de wetenschap.

Het is alweer een aantal jaren geleden dat ik het eerste deel van deze trilogie heb gelezen. Het was een heel aangrijpend verhaal en ik wil zeker de rest ook lezen. Maar zoals met zoveel boeken verdwenen deze ook weer op de plank.
